Location. The tallest hotel in the world, the Grand Hyatt Shanghai, is located in Shanghai, China. The hotel is positioned within the Jin Mao Tower, on floors 53 to 87. The Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the tallest television tower in Asia, is one half kilometer from the hotel. The classical gardens of Yuyuan stand within two kilometers.
Hotel Features. The grand 54th floor lobby includes a lounge surrounded by a 33 story atrium. The open kitchen of the 24 hour Grand Caf� presents Western and Shanghainese fare amidst unparalleled city views. Fast food, a casual food court, lounges and elegant dining rooms round out the gastronomic options. The 24 hour Communications Centre offers wireless Internet access, translation services and a full range of business services. Marble and tasteful bamboo plants incorporate a relaxed ambience at the heated indoor pool on the 57th floor. The Club Oasis Fitness Centre includes fitness equipment, a steam room, a sauna and spa tubs. Oasis Spa provides a hair salon, massage centre and therapies to pamper guests. Such indulgences include the Chinese foot massage, cellular regeneration facial and Oxyvital, an oxygen inhalation therapy.
Guestrooms. Guestrooms seem to float among the clouds with floor to ceiling windows that offer views of the Pu Dong skyline. Art Deco style rooms feature desks and in room safes. High speed Internet access is available. Marble bathrooms showcase a four fixture bath, high pressure shower tower and bathrobes. Beds are dressed with feather down duvets.
Expert Tip. The tower's 88th floor houses the Skywalk, an indoor observation deck that displays panoramic city views, a view of the hotel atrium and a small post office.
